BCAHA Lower Mainland Area AGM enjoyed by many!

On THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th, the British Columbia Association of Hospital Auxiliaries held its lower mainland area AGM and Conference at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn. Volunteers from many Auxiliaries enjoyed meeting and mingling with each other. DHA President Robbie Schultes welcomed everyone: Linda Demster of Fraser Health reminded us that we have moved away from “leadership down work aspect” to a now is the time to emphasize “how much humanity we can inspire”: and Belinda Bond of Vancouver Coastal Health introduced us to The Community Engagement Advisory Network or CEAN.

CEAN is a group of volunteers who support patient and public involvement at Vancouver Coastal Health. Visit www.vch.ca/ce for more info or call: 604-714-3779.

Elaine Canning was presented with flowers and thanked for her past service as Lower Mainland Area Representative. Fran Miller from the Sunshine Coast was elected as the new Lower Mainland Area Rep.

After lunch, Auxilians were treated to an inspirational speech by Peter Legge. A few of his wise words: Believe in the beauty of your dreams. Never give up. Success is the ability to make wise decisions.
