The Delta Hospital Auxiliary provides volunteer service at Delta Hospital; greeting, way finding, visiting, CARE program in emerg, working with Residents in Mountain View Manor – all patient care and comfort activities.
As well, we provide funds for medical equipment, programs, special projects and student and staff bursaries. Recently the Auxiliary purchased a new custom bus for Mountain View Manor residents so they can get into the community on regular outings, we co-funded the Day Surgery Pre-admission suite and also co-funded all the surgical equipment for our new Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Matt Lewington.
Annually, the Auxiliary funds a Spiritual Health Practitioner, a Music Therapist, Recreational Therapy at Mountain and student and staff bursaries. Our Pillow Pals group sews mastectomy and post surgery pillows for the comfort of Delta Hospital patients.
