March 5, 2026 | DHAS is celebrating International Women’s Day by honouring its outstanding women leaders.
Since 1969, DHAS has donated nearly $20 million to patient care and comfort at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care, a testament to the power of collective leadership. None of this would be possible without the vision and dedication of these extraordinary women (clockwise from top left): Kathy Wells, Business Manager; Jean Barker, Dogwood Gift Shop Co-coordinator; Roberta Chaffe, Courtyard Café Manager; Laurie Prak, Dogwood Gift Shop Co-coordinator; Maureen Mooney, DHAS President; and Banafshe Namazi, Director of Operations.
Together with Karin White, Thrift Shop Coordinator, these women harness the power of more than 300 volunteers, applying their professional expertise to serve our Society and the Delta Hospital Campus of Care. Their strategic guidance, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to volunteerism ensure resources flow where they are most needed. Their work embodies service, collaboration, and a shared commitment to a healthier, stronger Delta.
Our Society is powered by volunteers and led by women. Today we celebrate their leadership, resilience, and ongoing commitment to making our community healthier, stronger, and more connected.
