The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society (DHAS) has made a donation of $850,000 to the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation (DHCH Foundation) to support the 2026/27 priority equipment list for needs across the Delta Hospital Campus of Care.

This significant contribution will help fund essential equipment and patient care enhancements in Medical Floor, Surgical Services, the Emergency Department, Irene Thomas Hospice and Mountain View Manor, ensuring patients continue to receive high-quality care close to home.

As healthcare continues to evolve, investments in modern equipment help healthcare teams provide safer, more efficient, and more effective care. Our donation will support the replacement and enhancement of equipment used every day by physicians, nurses, and staff caring for patients throughout the hospital and long-term care community.

The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society has been a steadfast supporter of Delta Hospital since 1969 through volunteer service, patient comfort initiatives, and charitable fundraising. Recognized as one of British Columbia’s most successful hospital auxiliaries, DHAS is powered by more than 300 volunteers who contribute thousands of hours annually through the Dogwood Gift Shop at Delta Hospital, as well as the Auxiliary Thrift Shop in Ladner Village and the staff at the Courtyard Cafe at the Delta Hospital.

“The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society is proud to continue its longstanding commitment to supporting healthcare in our community,” says Cathy Bayley, President, Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society. “This year’s donation reflects the incredible dedication of our volunteers, staff, customers, and supporters . We know this gift will have a meaningful impact on patients and families receiving care across the Delta Hospital Campus of Care.”

“We are deeply grateful to the Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society for their extraordinary generosity and unwavering partnership,” says Lisa Hoglund, CEO, Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. “For decades, the Auxiliary has played a vital role in advancing healthcare in Delta.

This remarkable $850,000 gift will assist the Foundation to fund $2.4 million in priority equipment needs this year and will help equip our healthcare teams with the tools they need to deliver exceptional care and enhance the experience of patients for Delta residents. Their impact can be felt in every corner of the hospital and throughout our community.”

The Auxiliary is proud to work alongside the Foundation in strengthening healthcare services for residents of Delta and surrounding communities.
