March 27, 2025 | The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society invites applications for its Bursary Program, which supports City of Delta residents who are entering or continuing an accredited educational program in the field of healthcare. Each year, the Auxiliary awards 12 bursaries of $2000 and 1 bursary of $1000 in the name of Barbara McCurdy. The bursaries represent our appreciation for the community of Delta and the outstanding support it has shown to DHAS over the years.
To be eligible, applicants must be entering or currently enrolled in a healthcare-related program and have lived in Delta for at least two years. In order to receive the award, successful candidates must provide proof of registration at an approved institution by September 15, 2025. Other documentation may also be required.
Applicants are required to submit:
- proof of two years’ residency in Delta;
- most recent academic records;
- two reference letters (from school, work, or volunteering);
- verification of volunteer hours;
- a personal letter outlining financial need, career goals, and community involvement; and
- an application form.
Applications, including all required documents, must be submitted via email to bursaries@dhas.ca by May 1, 2025. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Successful applicants will be notified by June 15, 2025. For more information, please contact bursaries@dhas.ca.
