The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers expresses their heartfelt thanks to the people of Delta for their support in 2017.
The new Diagnostic Services Building will be completed in 2018. The Delta Hospital Auxiliary’s out-standing commitment to the project is 2.4 million dollars. This generous donation is for you, for your loved ones, for every patient of the Delta Hospital. It would not be possible without your support.
In addition to the above the Auxiliary has purchases a Mini C-Arm cost $82,000. The mini X-Ray machine for the recently opened Orthopedic Surgery Department allows Dr. Matt Lewington, orthopedic surgeon to take images during surgical procedure and provide treatment locally for Delta residents.
Looking to the future the Auxiliary provides bursaries for students entering the medical field. Yearly six students each receive $1,500.00 and two staff bursaries of $1,000.00 are awarded.
In 2017 Mountain View Manor (residential care) received $70,000.00 from the Auxiliary for the loving care and comfort of the residents.
