Auxiliary Office

The Office Unit volunteers provides clerical support to the Auxiliary Council and Units. They also track and submit the volunteer hours on a monthly basis and submit them each year to B.C. Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries which then compiles the number of hours worked by volunteers throughout the Province. Our Auxiliary is always one of the highest, many years exceeding 100,000 hours in total. The Office Unit processes new volunteer applications and maintains membership records, contact information and e-mail lists.

The Office Unit sends birthday cards to the residents of Mountain View Manor and sympathy cards when appropriate. Volunteers distribute personal supplies for patients in Emergency as well as stuffed animals for children brought into Emergency. other duties include delivering the mastectomy pillows (made with love by the Pillow Pals) as required by Day Surgery. Office volunteers also organize the Christmas and A.G.M. luncheons.

Volunteers staff the office Monday to Friday from 10 am till 2 pm and relay all messages and mail left for our members.
